Hair Extensions

What Are Hair Extensions :
As the name implies, Hair Extensions are applied to your existing hair to give your natural hair more length, volume, or character. They are attached by a variety of means to your natural hair, close to the scalp and are then cut and styled as an integral part of your hair.
What Can They DO : 
Hair Extensions are used to make your natural hair much longer, or to add more strands of hair, resulting in thicker, more voluminous hair, or to create additional texture, or a combination of any or all of these at the same time. The Extensions can be selected to match the colour of the natural hair to which they are attached or can be of a different shade to give the finished style more character. Some (but not all) Hair Extensions can be coloured using hair treatments found in hair salons.
Are All Hair Extensions The Same :
There are many different types of Hair Extensions on the market. Some are made from real Human Hair, while others are made from synthetic fibres which attempt to imitate Human Hair. Even Human Hair varies, depending on the Climate and growth conditions to which the hair has been subjected.
How Much Do Hair Extensions Cost :
Some Hair Extensions are available on the internet for only a few pounds. The very best quality Hair Extensions are very expensive. This reflects the care and attention which has been shown in treating the hair used in the extensions.
In addition to the cost of the hair itself there is also the cost of the Stylist's time to fit them.
Generally, as with most things in this world, you get what you pay for !
Can I Fix Them In Place Myself :
Some types of Hair Extension are designed to be clipped in place and these can often be fitted and removed by the wearer. More permanent types need to be bonded to the natural hair and this requires a trained Stylist. Many people also forget that the newly installed hair will need to be trimmed and styled to achieve a professional look.
How Are Hair Extensions Removed :
Clip in Hair Extensions can simply be unclipped. Bonded types can be unbonded.
Can I Re-Use My Hair Extensions :
Clip in Hair Extensions can simply be unclipped, stored safely and re-used at a later date. Bonded types can be unbonded and stored for re-use after new bonds are attached.
